Document & application checklist

Vietnam requires a valid passport for the eVisa. Have the physical document nearby—you'll photograph the data page in the application.

• At least 6 months validity remaining from your planned arrival date in Vietnam.
• Upload one clear image of the passport data (photo) page only—not the cover or visa stamps.
• All four corners of the page must be visible; nothing cropped or cut off.
• Avoid heavy glare, shadows, or fingers covering the machine-readable zone or your photo.

Immigration expects a recent passport-style portrait. Vietnamese rules call for a 4×6-style headshot with a white background; our upload step helps you crop and align the image.

• Face the camera straight on, neutral expression, good lighting.
• Plain white or very light background. If your selfie isn't perfect, our pipeline can help normalize the background when that feature is available.
• No hat or glasses; hair should not cover your eyes or face edges.
• Avoid very dark rooms, strong shadows, or cluttered backgrounds—they make review harder.

You'll lock in how you enter Vietnam and when. These must match your real travel plans as far as you know them today.

• Approximate arrival date (and whether you need standard or express processing).
• The airport, land border, or seaport you will use for your first entry.
• Single-entry vs multiple-entry, if both are offered for your nationality at checkout.

Besides uploads, you'll confirm a few details so we can submit accurately via official channels.

• Purpose of visit (e.g. tourism, business) and related fields as shown in the wizard.
• Employment yes/no and other declaration questions—answer honestly; they appear on the government form.
• Review every auto-filled field from your passport scan before you continue.
